PAM 2000+ Build Changes

2.2.3 7th February to 12th February 2002

Features
· Livestock/AACo: PAM & LIS ENHANCEMENTS - SAN Details : Added a Check box on each line of Transport details and Other Charges of the SAN details data entry screen to indicate whether the station will incur the costs. This data is sent to LIS and displayed in LIS on the Edit SAN screen. LIS calculates Estimated Freight charges for records that are marked that the cost is to be incurred on this SAN.

Fixes
· Rainfall Graphs: The Year selection list in the Monthly Totals Graph differed to the Cummulative Totals Graph : The Monthly Totals Graph defaults to this current year, where as the Cummulative Totals Graph was defaulting to the Users first Rainfall year. Now both default to this current year.
· Irrigation Water Sources Configuration: Adding a new water source from the "Irrigation, Pumps and Water Sources" configuration menu was not automatically adding the new item to list. If the User selected the Add button, type in new name, select ok. The item does not appear in the list until you select the Save/Tick button. This functionality was not the same as other configuration screens.
· Livestock: Livestock Births : When Entering births and you select 'Create' or 'Select' mob codes button, PAM was always defaulting the list of avaiable mob codes to the first Livestock category defined (eg "Sheep"). Now PAM selects the same category as the mother mobs by default.
· Inventory: PIVOT PAM QA - Pickling of stored grain : When recording silo treatments the pick list of Chemicals now includes "Seed Dressing" chemical types.
· Livestock Diary : Livestock Users can now filter the Diary by MobCode. Simply select the "Filter" button and a popup menu will allow you to select the "Filter by Mob Code" option.
· Reports : New Chemical Spraying Worksheet Report (Via the Reports menu in the Paddock Season View) : If multiple areas had been recorded for the job, the Report was only listing one area, but listing multiple rates per chemical for each area. Now the report lists all areas and one set of rates per chemical.
· Viticulture Specific Features: Reports : Chemical Spray Diary QA Report : Now the report lists multiple applications per page, and only one set of rates per chemical. Also added a checkbox to allow the user to list Spraying conditions and/or Job Notes.
· Reports: New Chemical Spraying Worksheet Report (Via the Reports menu in the Paddock Season View) : Added checkbox for "Insecticides"
· Viticulture Specific Features: All Crop Monitoring Reports : adjusted layouts to cater for farm name of "Vineyard".

2.2.2 6thFebruary 2002

· Rebuilt : New Property ID field in Livestock Suppliers list left out of Database structure update. Showing DAO error message.

2.2.2 beta 11th January to 4th February 2002

Features
· Indiviual Animal Records: Download of Breed Plan for individual animal now available.
· Configuration: Exporting Configuration Lists now includes the Client details, Farm and Paddock List and Current Livestock tallies.
Fixes
· Reports: Cattle Station features Users : Combined Stock Return and SAN Report not working : Displays error message "property OnPreview does not exist" - caused by new Quick report component update.
· MultiClient: Selecting a Client dataset : MultiClient/Select a Client menu option. If the User deleted a client, or switched back to their main dataset, then selected another client dataset, PAM was not switching to it, and remaining on the main dataset, even though PAM's main screen title bar showed as being switched.
· Data Merging: New Viticulture Specific features : With the Data Merging system the new flag in the breaks older logout and login files from being imported/exported. Users who have version 2.2.1 must upgrade to 2.2.2 otherwise there data files will not be processed in PAM.
· Viticulture Specific Features: Main Screen : Configuration Menu : Menu text for "Viticulture Varieties, Rootstock and Clones List" was reading "Viticulture Clones, Rootstock and Clones List"
· Paddock Year Records: Fodder records display : $ amounts not showing currency symbol
· Indiviual Animal Records: Breedplan Import : Import Breedplan Files : Main selection Dialog : General screen display updates only.
· Indiviual Animal Records: Breedplan Import - Import Data to Master List Data : Matchup List screen display updates only.
· Indiviual Animal Records: Export To breedplan & NLIS update
· Livestock: "Agistment Farm" for Cattle Station Features was not being listed in the "Farms in Filter" display (bottom of PAM's main screen).
· Livestock: Agistment Away and Return Activities - Renaming the Agistment Farm : When recording Agistment Away activities PAM requires the User to set up an "Agisted Livestock" Farm. The User may name this farm to whatever they wish. When recording an Agistment Return activity, PAM was filling the list of stock, matching on a specific farm name of "Agisted Livestock". If the User had called it something else then the mobs would not be listed.
· Data Entry: Machinery and Manual Tasks : New Contract Costs data entry : When entering the contractor costs for a Machinery of Manual task activity PAM was producing an error message "syntax error in From clause".
· Reports: Soil Leaf Reports : "Generate Graph" button was showing behind "Generate report" button when selecting a report, and vice versa when selecting a graph.

2.2.1 8th January to 10th January 2002

Fixes
· Email Settings: The Account Name field was set to 20 characters now 50. Some Users have larger email addresses.
· LIS Email Address for AACo: EMail Account name was set to 20 characters, now 50.
· Emailing Data / Export: SMTP Email Servers do not normally require a Username/password to send an email. PAM was try to logon before sending. Most servers will accept this, even if authentication is not required. So far it has not been an issue/fault reported by any Users. We have simply removed the logon process but in the longer term, we may add (much like Outlook et al) a "My Server Requires Authentication" checkbox, and a settings button to setup the "logon/password" details.
· Emailing data / Export : AACo only: Mapi Email servers (eg Microsoft exchange) truncate attached filenames to the 8.3 standard. PAM exports filenames longer than this and as a result the filename was being truncated and causing import routines to fail.
· Inventory : Packages: Recent changes in the Packages list for version 2.2.0 caused an error message "Syntax error in update statement"
· Livestock/AACo: LTA/SAN Report was showing stock ages in single digit only. Adjusted to display 2 digit age numbers. (10/01/2002 build)
· Importing Soil Tests: PAM was producing an error message "Access violation at address xxx" if the User imported a geolocated soil test file if the map was not loaded.

2.2.0 7th December to 7th January 2002

· Indiviual Animal Records : Add / Editing stock Purchases : Title panel missing "s" in caption.
· Reports: Food Quality Assurance Report : Rainfall Graph on report : Incorrect range of Rainfall data being displayed. This report was displaying rainfall figures for a 12 month period Jan to December, rather than for a given season (as cropping records are recorded).
· Individual Animals : Reports: Allflex Tag Bucket Import facility was cropping the Tag Electronic ID and as such reports were not displaying the correct id number. eg: with a record of 3WLKE030XEV0659,982 000004907114 PAM was storing the Electronic Tag ID as 00000490711(missing last character)
· Viticulture Features : Add / Edit Clone information now shows variety name on screen.
· Viticulture Features : New : Promoting a dataset to Viticulture Specific can be done via the Utilities / Database Maintenance / "Promote Viticulture data to Viticulture Specific"
· Viticulture Features : "PLANT/SEED" text : removed "SEED" from Clone Maintenance Dialog "Seed Cost"text : Grid title on the Main Variety/Clone/Rootstock Dialog changed as well
· Viticulture Features : Variety/Clones/Rootstocks screen : Error Message when no clones defined & the user tried to select Map Styles under the Tools menu
· Data Merging : Logging out a dataset would fail if there were any invalid characters in the Users trading name. i.e. "/#@$" etc. e.g. "PAMLO_FranklinTrading P/L.xml" is not a valid Windows filename.
· Configuration : Fixup VitID routine in GlobalFixesandUpdates was not setting config flag after processing. Users experiencing "Duplicate values in Index" when switching to datasets with RootClone records. The routine in Global.GlobalFixesAndUpdates was not setting the private config flag after "FixVitID" finishing.
· Configuration / Chemical Applications: New : Band and Spray Configuration can now be switched off and on through the "Customise my PAM 2000+" menu option. These data entry fields , when active, will then be displayed when recording the Spraying conditions for a Chemical activity.
· Database : Adding a Budget dataset was displaying the wrong "Parent" Dataset name.
· Livestock : Category Mob Numbers Report was displaying the wrong sex information. Referencing wrong field in sql.
· Data Entry : Recording a Harvest activity : If the User selected the "Finish" button and no Class or Load Number/ ModuleID had been specified, then PAM was cancelling the record and no actual job information was recorded.
· Data Entry : New : Chemical Applications : Spraying conditions : Added "Tank Volume" data entry field. This value is used in the Chemical Spray Worksheet report (Paddock Diary Reports Menu).
· Data Entry : Inventory of Consumables : Transfering stock from one location to another : Was not working correctly.
· Data Entry : Inventory of Consumables : Date selection / entry not working properly. When selecting the date the display was not changing until the User moved out of the edit box.
· Data Entry: New : Inventory of Consumables : Adding an Adjustment Record now picks up the batch number if there is one.
· Inventory : New : Inventory of Consumables : Adjustments and Transfers records now work in package size quantities. Prior to this version when recording an Inventory Adjustment or Transfer the quantity was entered in base unit amounts eg xx Litres. Now you enter them in package size amounts eg xx 10Litre Drums.
· Viticulture Features : Data Merging : Was not checking if the dataset was viticulture specific. The rule is that Users can only merge datasets if both master and remote are the same type ie. both non viticulture specific or both viticulture specific.
· Viticulture Features : Importing Configuration Lists : PAM was not catering for new Vit_Clones and Vit_Rootstock tables.
· Livestock: Livestock Diary : Agistment Returns Activities : After recording an Agistment Return activity, the Livestock Diary would show the movement record so as to display where the mob came from (ie. the Agisted Away Farm/Paddock information). Now the information is displayed on the Agistment Return Record and the movement record is hidden.
· Reports: Livestock SAN Report : Agistment Away activity : If the mob went away as a different mob category, SAN Report was listing an extrat record.

2.1.9a Beta 13th November to 3rd December 2001

· Cropping : Machinery and Manual Tasks now allow the User to enter contract staff cost details.(LS,BG)

· Mapping : Precision Mapping Plots : Visualisation Zoom to View fails on data using Lat/Long coordinates After generating Circles, or Paths, "Zoom" failed on data using Lat/Long coordinates. It only worked if the source data was using Easting/Northing coordinates. (LS)
· Mapping : Data Importing : Program lockup on Rinex SoilTrax files without $endlayer tag in import file.(LS)

2.1.8 14th September to 31st October 2001

· Backup and Restore / Export to Consultant MultiClient system : Users with a MultiClient Version of PAM can now backup/export their Main dataset to another MultiClient User and the dataset will then become a client dataset on the other User' s system. (Catriona Pearce,BG)

· Export / Import Lists : Livestock Mobs List was being exported and imported …Wrong!!
· AACo : Livestock : Group and External Purchases : Simply editing and saving an existing Job was losing the Consigned To / From information. (Catriona Pearce, BG)

2.1.6 29th August to 31th August 2001

· (Mapping) Added facility to enter coordinates as degrees and decimal minutes. A lot of GPS units seem to provide these coordinates by default and rather than forcing clients to convert them manually, this facility has been put in place. (JB)

Fixes
· (Mapping) Altered the coordinate entry form so that when coordinates are being entered as latitude and longitude, changing the format used for input (eg, DMS -> DM.M -> D.D causes the coordinates to be displayed with the new format. (JB)

· Rainfall: Decilies can be manually entered at any time even with less than 10 years of rainfall in Pam. (RW)

Fixes
· (Precision mapping) Importing non-yield CSV files (with or without headers) would generate a list index out of bounds error if a line in the file contained less columns than the header specified or than the first line in the file. This was because lines from the file were read in and parsed into a TStringList, which was then stepped through with a counter assuming that the stringlist contained at least as many elements as the first line. If there weren't enough columns in the line, then an index out of bounds error would be thrown up. The fix was to add code to pad out the string list if necessary so that there would be at least as many columns as in the first line. (JB)
· (Map Reports) Owing to changes in the way that map legends are displayed, producing map reports would cause an error in the MapView's OnStatistics handler because a TextLegend (used on Map Reports) has no Mesh configuratoin and no data field within it. Code has now been put in place to check whether a datafield has been assigned in CurrentMapData.MeshConfig and whether CurrentMapData is assigned, and use an alternate display method where either is not assigned. · Reports : Food Quality QA Crop Report : Chemical and Fertiliser Machinery Applications listing duplicate rows if more than one machine was recorded for the job. (Anna Steinhouser, RW,BG)

2.1.3 14th July to 1st August 2001

Fixes
· Mapping: Because of a fix for aerial photo importing (in 2.0.3), the way bounding rectangles for map objects were being updated had some undesirable side effects when moving legend bars on a print prepare screen. The code has now been updated to use values of +/- 9999 instead of the previous +/- 181. This fix also fixed a problem where moving a map view on the printer page caused the scale bar to jump to the bottom of the page. (JB)
· Crops: Deleting a crop variety does not delete all the associate records and their child records (eg. Chem records). This has now been set to delete that crop variety and all the jobs applied to that crop variety on that specificed year and cropId and cropcode. (JW)
· AACo : Livestock : Cattle Station Features only : Some SAN / LTA records not exporting to LIS correctly.(BG)

· Reports : Livestock Stocked Paddocks Report (as at any date): Added “Total farm Grazable Area” and Total Report Grazable Area” labels to report. (BG)
· Rootstock and Clone : Only for UltraCrop version. Setup new Crop as Viticulture under Crop Types in configuration. Rootstock and clone option under configuration for setup of the list of clones and rootstock. Set rootstock and clone for perennial crops under Farm and Paddock list in configuration, add new tree/vine crop layout details. (JW)

Fixes
· Reports : Livestock Stocked Paddocks Report (as at any date): LU/Ha figure not displaying correctly. Added display of the total grazable area for the report. (Alison Silcock,RW,BG)
· Paddock Season Summary screen / Perennial Crop Setup : After deleting a Perennial crop from the configuration / Setup screen with the “Remove associated Activities” option set, if the Paddock Season Summary screen was visible PAM would display error message “…DAO error record is deleted..”.(BG)
· Cropping : Add harvest Delivery : Record does not get written if there is no class specified. Basic minimium to have the amount of Tonnes for recording the record. (BG,JW)

· Cropping : Adding more than one Perennial Crop via the Perennial Crops configuration screen was not appearing in the Area selection list (Add Wizard) if an activity had already been recorded for the first Perennial.(BG)

Fixes
· Mapping - Due to changes introduced with the GPS live features, turning off the first layer on a group via the layer manager did not work (the layer was left visible and flagged as the current edit layer). This has been fixed. (JB)
· Precision Mapping - Because of isues with its operation, the ‘Legend Options’ button had been turned off. These issues have now been corrected, and the button is now available. (JB)
· Precision Mapping - loading a precision image via the image manager would not load the statistics associated with its dataset. This in turn meant that using the legend options button to override the image’s legend settings would cause an AV. Precision images are now saved with relevant data statistics (like snapshots), so that the button can be used with them. The button is only enabled if the data includes statistics that indicate which field has been used to generate the image. (JB)
· Livestock : Agistment Away and Return : Undo system not correctly removing Mobstats records, as a consequence, the Livestock Diary displays correctly but reports still show the agistment activity.(Catriona Pearce, BG)
· Livestock : Manually creating the Agistment Away Farm : Currently when you record an Agistment Away activity, PAM will automatically create a Farm called 'Agisted Livestock' and allow you to put the stock into a paddock on that farm. If you wish to manually create the farm via the Configuration menu / Farm and Paddocks list, PAM was not assigning the same ID number for it. This results in some livestock activities and reports not correctly working.(BG)
· Configuration: Service Providers, suppliers, carriers allows duplicate of the names, this has been fix to prevent duplication. (19/6 build) (JW)

· Precision Mapping : Loading a precision image from the aerial photo import screen would not automatically bring its legend to the top of the pile. (JB)
· Precision Mapping : Sometimes generating an image or loading a precision bitmap forced the view into a OneToOne coordinate system. Code was added to instead force the view to the coordinate system of the precision image. (JB)
· Mapping : The “can’t find the view” message was consistently coming up when it shouldn’t have been. The message has been disabled for the moment. (JB)

· Map Reports : Chemical Applications Report : If associated cropping records have been entered before a seeding and planting activity is recorded (eg a chemical application), then PAM will display to the User a list of these activities that can be associated to the new crop. If the area of the associated activity is larger than the new crop’s area then PAM will split the job, with the remaining area allocated to the paddock. PAM was not duplicating the mapping objects for this remainder job, and as a consequence the Chemical Application Map report was showing higher rates than specified. (16/5 build) (Ian McKenna, BG)
